Tucson Has Heart

On February 13, 2011, thousands gathered at Hi Corbett Field to celebrate the strength of the Tucson community. The event was a response to the tragic shooting of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, and the community reaction generated. A huge heart was formed on the field made up of participants, which was then photographed from the air to commemorate the gathering. The event was created by Christie Sherwood Spencer and Herb & Kerry Stratford of Stratford Art Works, who provided organizational, marketing and logistics support.
